Shimano Basic Isolation suit RB-057X

Key Features and Benefits

Dryshield – Reliable Protection Against Rain and Moisture

The suit features Shimano's Dryshield technology, providing waterproof and breathable protection. It helps prevent rainwater from penetrating the fabric while allowing moisture generated by the body to escape, ensuring greater comfort during extended fishing sessions.

Improved Synthetic Insulation

The synthetic padding retains its volume better than natural down when exposed to moisture and dries faster. It is also easier to maintain after use and provides reliable thermal insulation in changing weather conditions.

Optimized Insulation Distribution for Warmth and Mobility

Shimano has carefully optimized the amount of synthetic insulation in each area of the body to provide effective heat retention while maintaining freedom of movement and comfort during active fishing.

• 120 g/m² – positioned in the front and back of the torso, where greater thermal insulation is needed.
• 100 g/m² – used in the sleeves to provide warmth while maintaining good mobility.
• 80 g/m² – incorporated into the hood for additional protection against cold conditions.
• No insulation in the underarm areas – these sections are intentionally left unpadded to prevent excessive heat and moisture buildup during physical activity.

This carefully engineered insulation layout achieves an optimal balance between thermal comfort, breathability, and freedom of movement.

Functional Pockets Designed for Use with Fishing Life Jackets

The main pockets are strategically positioned to remain easily accessible when wearing different types of fishing life jackets, including waist-mounted, shoulder-mounted, and fixed-style models. Their practical placement provides convenient storage without compromising pocket capacity.

Water-Resistant Coil Zippers

The main zippers feature zipper tape laminated with a polyurethane (PU) film, providing additional water resistance. This treatment helps reduce water penetration caused by rain and splashes, keeping the contents of the pockets better protected.

Premium Matte Outer Fabric

To achieve a refined appearance, Shimano uses special Full-Dull yarn on the outer fabric, reducing the surface shine commonly associated with basic fishing garments. The result is a smooth, understated matte finish with an elegant texture.

The matte finish does not apply to patterned areas.

One-Hand Adjustable Hood

The hood features an integrated adjustment system that allows quick and easy fitting. Its tightness can be adjusted simply by pulling the dedicated tab with one hand, providing convenient operation in changing weather conditions.

Anti-Static Protection

A specially developed tape with static-dissipating properties helps reduce static electricity buildup when putting on or taking off the suit. This feature is particularly useful during colder months, minimizing common inconveniences such as static shocks and difficulties when handling fishing line.

The Shimano Basic Insulation Rain Suit 01 RB-057X is an excellent choice for anglers looking for a reliable winter fishing suit that combines effective thermal insulation with waterproof and breathable protection. Suitable for shore and boat fishing, spinning, feeder fishing, and other fishing techniques during the colder seasons.
